If you don’t think

Then you are not scratching the surface

And if you don’t challenge yourself

Then you are

Just twisting in the wind. 

But it is no surprise

That we are wasted

Unwilling to even speculate

That we could be wrong. 

Beware the fool

Who thinks he knows it all

And distance yourself

From the slobbering herd. 

Let them go on

And stampede off a cliff

Never knowing or questioning

All that they believed. 

The hard truth

Grins like death

And stares at us

Cruel and determined. 

No amount of money will change it

And no amount of suffering

Will assuage it

As it patiently pushes

For more and more. 

Welcome to the end

Where we all can see

But only a few understand

What is in store

For you and me. 

Tomorrow is today

And the future looks the same

Another day down

And another inch closer.

One day it will be us

And that is what they want

As the circle gets tighter and tighter

Until there is no room to maneuver

And no means to resist.

Without freedom

Life is pointless

And without individual liberty

You are a slave. 

Great leaps cannot happen

Without a spark

And positive change can only occur

With determination and courage.

Bring the fight

And challenge yourself

Ruthlessly evaluating every action
And every assumption. 

Only then can the wise

Raise their head

And face down the whole world

For what is right

And what is good.
