Double it down

And stir the pot

Poking at the logs

Until its good and hot. 

Life is messy

And life is uncertain

So we cling to what we can

Out of lethargy

And fear.

We get dirty

And we get hurt

So we recoil

And avoid

Anyway we can.   

Many are those

Who would flip the switch

Killing the innocent

Just to get, what they want. 

Ambitious, greedy

Venal and blind

Betraying everything

And killing everyone. 

I missed the game

Fake, dumb and fixed

But why should I feed it?

And neither should you.

Opiate for the masses

Ladled out for amusement

Nothing but propaganda

And mental anesthesia.

Find another direction

And spend your life well

Dedicating all you have

To everlasting love.
