Curvature

Curvature                                            10/14/2015

Feels like three lifetimes ago
All washed down the river
And under the bridge
Numberless days
And numberless dreams.

I did not know
But it’s alright now
Far behind
And far away.

She was like a gift
Wrapped up, in tight jeans
An actress at heart
Just as unaware, as me.

It hurt to lose her
And it hurts even now
Like a red hot poker
Burning through my brain.

But in loss
We can still win
And even as nothing
We are everything.

Marriages can be broken
And homes can be lost
Our bodies sick
And our emotions in turmoil.

But he who tries
Can learn how to stretch
Further than you ever dreamed
Grasping what truly  matters
And never letting go.

All is returned
And all is gained
Better than before
Rich, brilliant, and beautiful.
