Briefly seen
And spiritually
Understood.
Vague messages
From another time
Or maybe just
Another place.
Out of order
Artifacts
Random raindrops
Scattered in the wind.
We know
But we doubt
Second guessing
Our instincts
A thousand times a day.
Deluding ourselves
With a mouthful of lies
And constantly bombarded
With obvious propaganda.
Marched to a cliff
And told its paradise
The disenfranchised core
Sucked dry
For more and more.
