Frozen to glass
Spinning and flat
All that we were
And are.
Lost to time
Far away from here
A mirrored double
Asleep in the dust.
Broken in pieces
Our shattered self
Beaten down
And beaten out.
Caught in a web
Paralyzed by poison
Blood sucked out
Dead and dumb
The world cries
With secret longing
Another day
And another hour.
Hell on earth
And sword in stone
Waiting for
a sacred heart.
