Soon

Soon                            11/14/2019

Some things
Cannot be explained
Obscured by the veil
Of human vision.

Mere shadows
And distant mirages
Playing with our emotions
And penetrating
Our heart.

We all seek the comfort
Of ease
And happiness
The light load
Of pretending
That some do so well.

And many succumb
To the sweetest of lies
Lured by promises
And ill gotten money.

Some men
Lie easily
Far more than anyone
Will ever know.

Always searching
And always looking
For unattended treasure
And unwary prey.

The good
Are often tired
And the innocent
Often distracted.

Sleeping in day dreams
And driving in neutral
Going through the motions
Work, sleep, and food.

Burdened by worry
The debt slaves suffer
Unable to see
What God has to offer.

Tempted by escape
Many leave their baggage
Letting others
Pick up the pieces
Scattered on the floor.

Each piece
Salted with memories
A shattered glass mosaic
Sharp and jagged.

I tried to pick
Them up
Until my hands
Were bloody
The wounds of yesterday
Fresh and throbbing.

Too small to grasp
Their tear at my feet
Walking through
The hours
Day after day.

But now
I have claimed you
And now I said it all
Proclaiming my love
For anyone
And everyone.

It was you Lord
Who saved me
Both then
And also now.

They know it is
With you
That I have placed my life
Without reservation
Heart, mind, and soul.

Shut up their mouths
And put an end to their mocking
Exposing every lie
And every deception.

Let everyone see
What their hands
Have been doing
In the dark
And under the table.

I wait for you
And your perfect timing
The complete and utter victory
And to you
All the glory.

clockwork

Clockwork                           11/14/2019

Clockwork red
While the world
Goes live
Always when needed
And always on time.

Cue the pictures
And conjure up
Some tears
Because we need
Something to distract
From the here and now.

Fake or real
Death and dying
Another day
And another solution .

Many look
Away
And many
Shake their heads.

Pretending
Not to see
And pretending
Not to know.

Bigger and bigger
They double down
On lies
As if mere assertions
Make anyone
Good or evil.

How many search
And how many know
The evidence
And statistics
That have never changed at all.

Inciting murder
And fanning the flames
Good called evil
And evil called good.

Secret deals
And secret money
Gigantic piles of pay offs
Buried
From the news.

Two types
Of people
And two sets
Of rules.

One set
For them
And another
For us.

Any who dare try
And any who dare
Speak
Silenced by threat
And endless accusations.

Patterns emerge
Timed predictably
And undeniable
With answers in hand
Just in time.

Who could not know
Unless hopelessly blind
Too far gone
For anyone to save.

Hands over ears
And hands over eyes
The scream at the sun
For anything but the truth.

Our numbers
Dwindle
And all of it
On purpose,

Looking though
The looking glass
One need not ask
What everyone
Should see.

Blame, persecution
And legal genocide
Just over the horizon
Plain as day.

We are the remnant
And we are the few
The whole world hinged
On what we say
And what we do.

The Wait

The Wait                    10/31/2019

Echoes from the past
I can hear in my brain
Seared into memory
The decisive moments
Carved in my heart.

It is a tragedy
That some people
Have no shame
And that some men
Have no soul.

Time has healed
Even my deepest wounds
But even time
Cannot blunt
Committed evil.

It still waits
Pacing in the shadows
Tirelessly plotting
Against the good
And the innocent.

Under out feet
The blood cries out
Shed in secret
And buried in lies.

Cut off in mid stride
The unsuspecting
Sacrificial lambs
Unfortunate obstacles
That were removed.

Unhindered by conscience
And unfettered by faith
The lie with ease
Hands under the table
Where no one can see.

Counting their money
Fresh from the laundry
And crisp from the printer
Sucked from the debt slaves
Every day and every hour.

Drunk on blood
They lust after power
Planning in secret
For their day
And their hour.

They think
We will forget
And they think
We will tire.

Resigned to their
Implacable hatred
They think we will shrink
Unable to fight
For a every single inch.

But what can
They do
To a people unafraid
At last awakened
By five decades and more.

God is stronger
Than Satan
And truth
Shall destroy
The lie.

Past the point
Of no return
The evil and the blind
Lashing out
To kill all they can.

Condemned forever
Their time is nigh
But just for a little longer
They lie
And they flail.
