Hairpin

 Hairpin                     10/09/2020

Like never before

The weight of time

Crushing down

On a certain date.

Hanging on a ledge

A sheer drop down

The yawning abyss

Grins at our death.

An ancient hatred

Long held in secret

Shows its teeth

Never closer

To permanent victory.

The point of no return

The inescapable grip

Constricting our breath

And choking us out.

Leaning backwards

We teeter in place

With us in the middle

Carefully balanced.

Nothing lasts forever

But now we must move

The rear wheels spinning

And biting the ground.

We can save ourselves

If we see the truth

Judging the distance

Between the good

And the evil.

Good men

Have no need

For scripts

Their intentions

Exactly as they are said.

But evil lies

And falsely accuses

Hiding their intentions

As long as they can.

No one sees the dagger

Before it’s too late

Bleeding out on the floor

And gasping for breath.

Choose to live

And choose to love

Wanting the best

Who are here and now.

Or choose hatred

And death

Those who want you dead

And laugh at the dying.

 Born on 10/17                                     10/7/2020

Dark days

Thick and black

Hidden faces

Shrouded with death.

Poison tipped

Darts of death

Designed and deployed

An invisible enemy

Of suffocating asphyxia.

Ugly is the hatred

Of the godless horde

Their faith in lies

Masquerading as truth.

Created by dysfunction

And long encouraged

By moral decay

A guided missile

With multiple heads.

Art, entertainment, culture

Sports, architecture, and sex

Beauty and dignity replaced

By offensive ugliness.

Dividing us into shuts

For convenient slaughter

We who might question

And rebel.

Brutalist buildings

And the international left

A uniparty of slavery

And deliberate theft.

Evil ambition

The original envy

The jealous usurper

Covets the throne.

The gatekeepers

Collect their pay

Following directions

To control

And deceive.

Vomiting talking points

Coordinated in the dark

Every day something new

And every day a lie.

Heavily scripted lies

About as true

As a movie

Programing the deluded

To wish themselves

Dead.

The day approacheth

When all must choose

What is more important

Fake safety

Or truth.

The easy road

Leads unto to death

We were warned

So long ago.

The higher road

Is beset with snares

And hatred of men

Punishing those who dare

Do what is right

And what is fair.

The will not win

But looks

Can be deceiving

Stealing all the can

Until the last possible day.

Through hook and crook

They hide their true

Intentions

Murderous

And treacherous.

Watch them now

Drop all their masks

As they attempt to wound

And attempt to kill.

 Friend or Traitor                   10/6/2020

Three days

All falls apart

Just like I said

We were told long ago.

Some try to save

And others

Try to murder

Now and then

The witness stands alone.

Speaking out truth

In spite of every danger

Poison dipped arrows

Invisible daggers

Too small to see.

No lie will work

Not against the saints

For those who mock

Live on borrowed time.

They who mocked

Also laughed

At the possibility

Of death.

Maybe an hour

And maybe two

Maybe a day

But never more

Than three.

The last has

Not come

The biggest lie of all

Still yet to emerge.

Though the threaten

And though they rage

It’s not against one they hate

But also you and me.

If possible they will come

And if they can

They would try

Killing you

And killing me.

Better now

Than later

We will do

What we must.

Pray for the witness

Calling down the fire

Risking all

For you and me.
